Every year, thousands of Canadians participate in Vancouver's Canada Day celebrations. The city features numerous patriotic events, all of which include beautiful venues and fun activities. The biggest Canada Day celebration is being held at Granville Island, one of Vancouver's most famous landmarks. From 7am until midnight, Canadians can enjoy a pancake breakfast, live jazz music, and a South Asian cultural extravaganza, which includes traditional dances, bollywood fashion and ethnic food. The 2014 Canada Day street festival and parade will be held at Canada Place from 10am to 7pm. The parade, which will begin at 7pm, starts at the Corner of Georgia and Broughton Street. Entertainment will include Canadian music performers and dancers. Another Vancouver favorite is the annual Canada Day bike race, which will be held from 1pm to 6pm. This family favorite attracts hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators. Canada Day would not be complete without an extravagant fireworks display. The Canada Day Burrard Inlet fireworks show will take place from 10:30pm to 11pm. The fireworks can bee seen from downtown, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Vancouver's west side.
