Canada Day 2014 will be bigger and better than ever in Ottawa, Ontario. A plethora of events will be held all over the city from dawn til dusk, from skateboarding competitions to historical presentations. The biggest festivities can be found on Parliament Hill beginning at noon with the Governor General, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Canadian Heritage. Simple Plan will perform alongside popular Canadian artists like Jully Black, The Drums, Crown Forces 1812, Michael Beauclerc, Feist, Neverest, Donny Parenteau and Roch Voisine. A similar concert will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The concert is followed by the annual President's Choice fireworks display over the Ottawa River. For front row seats, arrive early to Jacques-Cartier Park, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Major's Hill Park, Victoria Island, or anywhere along the river.
